Since when did two students taking a leisurely walk along the beach attract so much attention?
Since Jay and Stacey went for a stroll together (singing) to be precise!
The tuneful duo crooned away, totally unaware of the stares they were attracting until a round of applause stole their attention.
Well, talk about being on the right beach at the right time…as luck would have it, a member of that crowd just happened to be Jenna Smith, daughter of top music executive Jack Smith, who was looking for an act to sing at her dad’s party and thought Stacey had just what they were looking for!
Wow- an opportunity NOT to be passed up by any budding young talent, but locking Stacey into such a commitment, soon saw her locking herself into her room so she didn’t have to face the music (or performance of it) that lay ahead!
So, who was going to get Stacey to unlock the door and unlock her fear of performing? Someone with an abundance of confidence and an appreciation of public adoration….Cue Natalie, the most self-assured student in town!
And what an ingenious answer to everyone’s problems she presents…convincing Stacey that her stage fright will subside if they perform together! Perfect solution. How sweet of her, how selfless….
NOT! For goodness sake, why is it that only Amy can see that when Natalie’s involved there’s always an ulterior motive and when she explains this to Felix and Ollie, they suggest she joins the band too to keep Natalie under control!
Meanwhile, talent show fever has spread throughout the school and after deciding it’s time to start a boyband, Jay and Calvin begin auditions to find their fourth member.
With the judge panel set up, they’ve decided the best way to do this is if Calvin plays nasty judge and Jay plays, erm nasty judge too! Move aside Simon Cowell, these boys have rejection tactics down to a T, but when one ridiculous applicant cries when he’s rejected, the boys give in and let him join their band!
Clear the stage…BOYS BOYS BOYS are ready to rock!
Right then, that was easy enough, the boys are all sorted, but how are the girls getting on….?
Hmmm, catty comments, cruel remarks and crying fits a go go, things are not looking slick for the party preparation. Rows over image, song, lead singer and melody are bubbling out of control and this performance of a lifetime is turning into a headache of a lifetime!
Well, that’s it – time’s run out and the day of reckoning (or should we say The Party) has arrived!
First up is Boys Boys Boys with Jay, Calvin, Aaron and their interesting new recruit! But when the new Avalon idol gets carried away with himself and forgets he’s got to work with the band, our favourite boys realise they should have stuck to what and who they know best…themselves!
And now, it’s time for Girls Girls Girls…or should we say ‘Girl’. After so much fighting, Stacey and Amy decided to give up on the whole idea and get rather a shock when they realise Natalie does what she intended to do all along – get up on stage and go it alone!
Huh! She’s taking all the glory, the song, the outfit – it’s all so smooth…until she falls flat on her face in front of EVERYONE.
Aha, come-uppance for her deceit right? Wrong. Amy and Stacey feel bad for their roommate and jump up onstage to unstick her rather sticky situation!
Wow – it’s a great track, a great look, a great band! And Jack Smith thinks so too.
After their performance he offers them a 3 month contract to spend on a tour bus. While Natalie’s beside herself with excitement, Amy and Stacey are no longer beside her! They helped her out of a tight spot, but they haven’t finished their studies yet and it’s one step at a time.
Oh well, at least they’ve finally realised that teamwork’s the way forward!
Or have they?
