So, which side does a slice of buttered bread land on the floor? Usually butter side down right?! NOT ALWAYS!! And this has WHAT exactly to do with Avalon Heights? Lots actually! Toone decides to show the students that show business is as unpredictable as which side up the buttered bread lands! This week, it's time to learn a VERY valuable lesson – CHANGE and how to deal with it!
It doesn't take long before Toone has the entire class in an upbeat all singing dance-a-thon about the beauty of change and why it's good for the creative mind and before you can say ‘a change is good as a rest' our favourite students are already preparing to go where they've been to scared to venture before!
And how does this manifest itself? We hear you cry…. Well, Rochelle and Daisy decide to go and mess up Patrick's office (he's WAY too tidy for his own good), Calvin asks Frankie and Natalie to change his style, Ollie tries his hand at dancing…again, Felix decides it's time he got more classical with his music taste and asks for Amy's advice and Toone even gets in on the action, asking Frankie and Natalie to change his style too by throwing out all his old clothes and selling them on JUSTBUYIT.COM
It doesn't take long before Calvin's been transformed into a suit wearing, sleek haired, shiny shoed fella (who feels really smart until Jay and Stacey kindly point out he looks like a dad), Patrick is happy with the mess that's been created, Ollie (with some major encouragement from Khush) learns how to bust a few moves on the dance floor, Felix's headphones are void of Rap and replaced with classical sounds and Toone (after a little nudge from Natalie and Frankie) is getting used to his trendy new look.
Wow, so much change and everyone's delighted….
Until, that is Toone discovers Natalie and Frankie have not only thrown out his entire wardrobe, but also his favourite old slippers that were given to his father by the one and only Elvis Presley! Ouch…
CUT to prim and proper Natalie actually getting filthy, searching through the rubbish tips, trying to find what she carelessly chucked away! (The smelly, dirty, unmade up look quite suits her actually but that's another story)
After hours of searching, her and Frankie finally find the slippers and present them to Toone in class at the end of the day – PHEW, alls well that ends well. Except Toone's decided it's time to move on and he doesn't even WANT the slippers anymore Oh great - Natalie's delighted. NOT!
But, just as the atmosphere starts to turn from rosy to a little grey, Calvin brightens everyone's moment with his latest, self-created new look. And where did he purchase this new style? On JUSTBUYIT.COM OH CALVIN – we knew you wanted to look older, but not THAT OLD! You've gone and bought yourself Toone's nasty, tired old wardrobe! Dear oh dear – whatever next?
