What happens when the wrong people get hold of the right information? A complete NIGHTMARE!
When a crowd of the Avalon girls take a stroll along the beach they get more than the ice cream they bargained for.
As the girls talk about their latest projects a passer by (who’s ears couldn’t twitch anymore if they were about to fall off) overhears the magic words ‘Avalon Heights’ and asks to hear all about it for her nieces who want to get into showbiz (the reality: 2 random girls playing next to her who’d she’d never met!).
A few naïve minutes later, Khush has divulged too much information, a picture has been taken of her and Amy and before anyone has a chance to say ‘cheese’ the pair of them have made the front page of the biggest tabloid paper – ouch!
When Professor Toone gets wind of this he’s more than a little concerned about the exposure but before he can say, ‘sometimes mistakes are made’ there’s a knock at the window (or should we say an almighty crash), as a stampede of journalists grab their pitch for a piece of the Avalon action.
There’s nowhere to hide, the grounds have been covered and if you can’t beat them…Toone says JOIN THEM!
Yep, before you know it Avalon Heights has been transformed into a media mayhem as our favourite students are interviewed, papped, giving documentaries and singing for the hungry crowd.
Natalie’s own hype is running away with itself, Amy’s busy writing features for The Times, Felix can’t seem to stop talking in interview mode, Stacey and Daisy have opened a sandwich bar for the journalists (we’re talking fish finger and cream cheese baguettes here!) and even Toone’s too busy to teach because of his radio commitments.
Has everyone at Avalon Heights finally lost the plot?
A few mad days later, Hannah’s strolling along the beach and sees some girls engrossed in a magazine…what on earth could be so interesting? Try a story and photo scoop all about YOU Hannah!
And that’s only the beginning…as Frankie Jay and Calvin head for the beach, Frankie spots an article about Calvin in the paper, but this time – it’s not a very nice one!
As fingers are pointed and comments are made – it’s not long before the gang get a reality check!
If only they’d stayed within the walls of the school, they’d have been safe from the opinionated public right? WRONG!
Inside the classroom, Natalie (unbeknown to her) is being photographed during a less than flattering pose (ok, so she was picking her nose!) and the pics appear in the next day’s papers!
…And after all she’s done for them too?
AND NOW THERE’S A PROBLEM!
How on earth were they going to put an end to this unwanted exposure?
A crisis meeting is held and just as the students get together to face the crowd and tell them where to go…they realise there was no need for the effort – the press have lost interest and the school is yesterday’s news!
WELL THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT!
